Jinri Park cancels wedding this coming weekend due to COVID-19 threat

Jinri Park announced that her wedding with her non-showbiz partner John will be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jinri has been looking forward to her “real official wedding” ever since she and John celebrated their love in a traditional Korean ceremony back in December 2019. The ceremony is set to happen this coming weekend.

But because of the increasing threat posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Korean model-DJ shared via an Instagram post that her weekend wedding is no longer pushing through.

Jinri related, “Due to the circumstances we had to cancel our wedding this coming weekend. We will still get the legal documents ready and sign the registry on the day of the wedding but the event and gathering will be postponed.

"I'm very upset because I prepared and stressed over this day for months. An emotional rollercoaster.”

Despite this setback, the bride-to-be remains optimistic.

She continued, “But at the end of day, I have to look at the bright side and say, hey! At least I had a practice on how to go about a wedding preparation.

"When the virus dies down, I'll have that wedding and my dad will get to walk me down the aisle. To all the fellow brides out there who are going through the same situation as me, stay strong! I know it's been stressful months but we now have a story to tell our grandchildren. Stay healthy.”

Aside from Jinri, a few other celebrities also had to put their wedding plans on hold due to the pandemic. This includes Rachel Peters and Migz Villafuerte, and Ava Daza and Luch Zanirato. Meanwhile, Sarah Lahbati and Richard Gutierrez toned down their celebration and tied the knot in an intimate ceremony which was only attended by their families.
