Sine Novela presents two new classics this September

After turning fifteen unforgettable classic movies into top-rating TV shows, GMA Network is set to give its loyal viewers two more outstanding remakes that will redefine afternoon programming—forever. Sa unang pagkakataon sa history ng afternoon drama, Sine Novela presents a back-to-back premiere for two new classics remade for television withKaya Kong Abutin ang Langit and Tinik sa Dibdib. Featuring multi-awarded actress Sunshine Dizon and multi-faceted actress Iza Calzado, the back-to-back programs will surely fire up the afternoons—as the shows bring to light the struggle of two women who wants for a better and brighter life, while searching for happiness and the fulfillment of their dreams. Sa unang timeslot, Sine Novela presents Kaya Kong Abutin ang Langit; kung saan Iza Calzado will play the title role of Clarissa Rosales—isang social climber na gagawin ang lahat para umangat sa buhay. Originally played in 1984 by the Diamond Star Maricel Soriano in the Maryo J. delos Reyes masterpiece, Iza could not contain just how honored she feels at being given the chance to step into the Diamond Star's shoes. "Salamat po sa pagtitiwala ninyo," Iza says, thanking both the network and the people who believe in her capabilities as an actress. Joining her in the remake of Kaya Kong Abutin ang Langit are Lani Mercado, Angelika dela Cruz, Wendell Ramos, Isabel Oli, Ricardo Cepeda, Pinky Amador, Bobby Andrews, Paolo Paraiso, Ryan Yllana, Victor Aliwalas and Peter Serrano—to be directed by Topel Lee, fresh from the heels of the highly successful Kung Aagawin Mo ang Lahat sa Akin. And after a triumphant turn as Bakekang, essaying the role previously played by Super Star Nora Aunor, award-winning actress Sunshine Dizon is once again entrusted with another role made famous by the Super Star. Sine Novela presents Tinik sa Dibdib, in the second timeslot, features Sunshine as Lorna, ang babaeng walang hinangad kundi kaunting kaligayahan sa buhay.
