It's a new milestone for BLACKPINK as they were hailed to become the first Korean group to hit 1.1 billion views on YouTube.

Early today, March 24, their music video for “DDU-DU DDU-DU” surpassed the 1 billion mark after about one year, nine months, eight days, and 18 hours since its release last June 2018.

“DDU-DU DDU-DU” is the third Korean music video to surpass the mark after PSY's “Gangnam Style” and “Gentleman.”

The group was congratulated by South Korean agency YG Entertainment which rosters similar artists like BIGBANG, Winner, and iKon.

In other BLACKPINK news, last February 24th, their debut single “BOOMBAYAH” set a new record as the first K-pop debut MV to hit 800 million views.

The song was released back in August 2016 and it took over three years, six months, and 15 days to hit the 800 million.

Congratulations, BLACKPINK and BLINKS!
