Filipino fashion designer Michael Leyva and his team are producing PPEs and face masks for COVID-19 frontliners.
Filipino fashion designer Michael Leyva and his team are one of the few Filipino couturiers and brands who are stepping and doing their part in responding to the coronavirus pandemic.
In an Instagram post, Michael Leyva shared that he and his team are donating Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs), head covers, and face masks for COVID-19 frontliners.
He wrote, “We are one with this. #TeamMichaelLeyva will be donating PPEs, head covers, and masks for our heroes #frontliners.
“Mabuhay po kayo at salamat sa dedikasyon at pagmamahal sa ating bayan This wouldn't have been possible without my team's dedication and willingness to help.
“Stay home, stay safe and we will get through this together. God will be with us. #SinulidContraCovid”
Furthermore, the team also donated washable masks and food in Antipolo, Rizal where Michael is currently residing.
The kind gesture was lauded by fans and celebrities alike including Anne Curtis-Smith, Cheska Kramer, Vicky Rushton, and Angel Locsin.
There is currently a shortage of PPEs and face masks worldwide. By producing the next best alternatives, it can help the public and frontliners protect themselves from the virus.
