Kapuso couple Max Collins and Pancho Magno recently held their gender reveal party, and they are having a baby boy.
As the delivery of their child is nearing, Max shared that she is planning to give birth at their home through water birth.
The actress also related that she's not comfortable with giving birth at the hospital because of the current situation of 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) crisis in the country, especially in Metro Manila.
“I just don't feel comfortable in the hospital setting, lalo na now. I just started a course for home birthing. I want it to be a water birth so I'm looking for a mini pool.
Max also related that the water birth procedure may be the safest way for her and their first-born.
“I never thought it would come to this but I think that would be the safest way for me,” she said, adding that this plan is not yet final since she's taking a lot of considerations such as the positioning of the baby and her body's capability to deliver without any medical help.
“Not a hundred percent sure na about the home birth 'cause I have to check siyempre the positioning of the baby, kung kaya ko. I've been talking with my OB-Gyne about having labor at a hospital,” she said.
Meanwhile, Max has been maintaining the workout routines that she said is part of her preparation to give birth.
“Kasi if not, I don't know how I will be able to give birth naturally if my body is not in good shape. That's really what I'm preparing for physically. Kasi siyempre if there's no anesthesia, it's gonna be difficult,” she added.
Max and Pancho announced their pregnancy in December 2019, two years after tying the knot in December 2017.
Pregnant women are said to be at high risk for coronavirus disease that's why health experts advised the concern individuals to refrain from going to hospitals, where COVID-19 patients are being treated unless it's for their monthly checkups.
