The family of "Megastar" Sharon Cuneta will extend help to the 21 residents of Sitio San Roque who got arrested last April 1 for protesting in Quezon City.

The family of Megastar Sharon Cuneta has expressed their willingness to help the 21 residents of Sitio San Roque in Quezon City who were arrested by the police last April 1 for protesting without a permit.

The residents in Sitio San Roque staged a rally last Wednesday to demand much needed help from the government amid the ongoing enhanced community quarantine, which will last until April 14.

In a tweet, Sharon's daughter Frankie Pangilinan replied to a post by Bagong Alyansang Makabayan secretary general Renato Reyes Jr., saying that she and her parents are willing to shoulder the bail of the 21 people, which will amount to at least Php 15,000 each.


As of Friday, April 3, the Department of Health (DOH) recorded 3,018 COVID-19 cases, while 52 recovered and 136 died from the disease.
