Miley Cyrus highlights COVID-19 frontliners on Instagram show

American singer Miley Cyrus highlighted COVID-19 frontliners on her show 'Bright Minded' which he hosts oh her Instagram account.


In a one week special which started on April 13, Miley interviewed Dr. Oscar Maitas, an ICU doctor in New Orleans who spoke about how COVID-19 affected the lively city and stressed the importance of social distancing and staying at home.

She also interviewed Dr. Syra Madad, senior director of Systems Pathogens Program for NYC Health Systems who balances being a mother of three and a medical frontliner.

The second episode featured "food fighters" Chef Jose Andres, founder of World Central Kitchen, and Nancy Kiel, CEO of Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee. Both are from organizations that provide meals in the wake of natural distasters.

The upcoming episode will feature "community champions" who provide services to homeless people and indigenous communities. These include Tia Oros Peters, CEO of Seventh Generation Fund For Indigenous People; Shirley Raines, founder of Beauty 2 the Streetz and Erin Casy & Heather Carmicheal of My Friend's Place.

Miley joins many other celebrities in creating their own content from the comfort of their homes during the COVID-19 pandemic.

She launched 'Bright Minded' back in March and has featured fellow celebrities like Paris Hilton, Alicia Keys, Reese Witherspoon, and many others.
