The movie will be produced by Arad Productions which have previously produced Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

One-Punch Man was a webcomic created in 2009 by artist ONE. Its viral success led to a manga adaptation in 2012 that also proved to be very well-received in and out of Japan. It also has a hit anime adaptation in 2015.

One-Punch Man tells the story of Saitama, a superhero who can defeat any opponent with a single punch. Because of this, he grows bored and seeks to find a worthy opponent as he fights against evil.
