By Cara Emmeline Garcia

Early today, April 29, BOL4 has announced her comeback schedule together with the details of her upcoming album.

According to the notice, her album and comeback music video will be released on May 13 at 6 pm Korean Standard Time.

Aside from that, she will pre-release a track titled “Butterfly and Cat” which will feature EXO's Baekhyun on May 7th.

The great news was received well by fans following the departure of Woo Ji Yoon early this month.

Woo Ji Yoon's departure

BOL4, or Bolbbalgan4, was originally a duo consisting of Ahn Ji Young and Woo Ji Yoon. They made their debut in 2016 with the single “Fight Day.”

On April 2, 2020, Woo Ji Yoon quit BOL4 due to concerns about her career.

Following Woo Ji Yoon's departure, Ahn Ji Young shared a handwritten letter to fans sharing her thoughts and how she foresees the group continuing in the future.

She wrote, “I want to say that I'm so sorry that the news was shared so suddenly like this. Many people have loved the two of us as BOL4 and so my heart is heavy and I feel sorry to think that our fans who've supported us for a long time must be upset.

“I think Ji Yoon had been worrying about this longer than I thought before she made this decision. I was taken aback and very upset too when she first told me. But, on the other hand, I also thought about how much she must have worried about this and had a hard time coming to this decision.

“I'm not going to try to continue 'BOL4' on my own. There are indeed things I'm scared and worried about. However, I think that now is when I need to take more responsibility and do my share since I promised that I'd keep giving you good songs for a long time with every album and concert.

“I think I put a lot of emotions into the new album. Please look forward to the emotions and stories I've included. To our fan club, IoBoly, thank you for loving us without holding back.”
