Lotlot de Leon pays tribute to her 'Tiyanak' director Peque Gallaga

Actress Lotlot de Leon is mourning the death of highly-acclaimed director and showbiz icon Peque Gallaga.

The veteran filmmaker died on May 7 at the Riverside Medical Center in Bacolod City. He was 76.

On her Instagram post, Lotlot shared an old movie poster of her horror film Tiyanak, which was directed by Direk Peque.

She said, "Direk Peque, It was truly an honor and a privilege to have known you and to have worked with you.

"To have been part of one of the most EPIC films made by you and Direk Lore in this industry. Daghang salamat, Direk Peque. Rest well."

The 1988 movie Tiyanak also stars Lotlot ex-partner Ramon Christopher, Carmina Villarroel, Chuckie Dreyfus, Smokey Manaloto, Rudolph Yaptinchay, and Janice de Belen.
