IU and Park Seo Joon start filming for 'Dream'

Korean actor Park Seo Joon and singer-songwriter IU are teaming up for upcoming movie Dream, which has already began filming.

According to media outlet Soompi, Dream is directed by Extreme Job director Lee Byung Hun and tells the story of a team trying out for the Homeless World Cup, an international soccer event.

Park Seo Joon plays Yoon Hong Dae, a professional soccer player on disciplinary probation after getting embroiled in a scandal. He coaches an amateur soccer players and develops camaraderie with his team.

He said, “I'm excited for the time I'll be spending as Hong Dae. I'll do my best to deliver a great film to viewers.”

He also gave a glimpse of their film script on his Instagram.

Dream is IU's first commercial film. She will take on the role of Lee So Min, a production head who dreams of getting a big break from filming a documentary about Yoon Hong Dae's unconventional soccer team.

IU said, '“As this is my debut in a feature film, I'll approach the project with both excitement and responsibility. I'm so happy to be working with actors and cast members who are always warm and welcoming and whom I have so much to learn from.”

The movie production team for Dream also released photos of the cast's script reading where Director Lee Byung Hun said “This is a project I've been preparing for a long time, and it means a lot to me. We have an incredible cast of actors, and I'm excited to work with them.”

Actor Lee Hyun Woo, a friend of Park Seo Joon and IU, will also be starring in Dream.
