Kapuso actress and singer Manilyn Reynes touched the hearts of many netizens with her heartfelt message to the late director Peque Gallaga on Instagram.

Direk Peque passed away on May 7 at the Riverside Medical Center in Bacolod City. He was 76.

On her Instagram post, Manilyn, who fondly calls Direk Peque as "El Pogi," thanked the highly-respected filmmaker for shaping her and husband Aljon Jimenez to become better artists.

"El Pogi, our Tito Peqs, Aljohn and I will never forget the love and trust you have given us in every film that we made.

"We will always remember how you took care of us and how you would always push for us whenever there were projects that you wanted us to be part of. How you have always believed in what we can do as artists.

"And most of all, the friendship that, through the years, became even stronger, in our hearts. We are very, very sad, Tito Peqs.

"But knowing you are now in a better place, we will let you rest. Damo gid nga salamat, y muchas gracias. We love you so much. Palangga ka namun kag, ginahigugma ka namun. Rest now.

"Our condolences to Tita Madz, Datu, Jubal, Wanggo, Bing and Michelle. And to Tito Lore and Jo."

Manilyn and Aljon tied the knot in 1996, and now have three sons: Kyle, Kirk, and Kael.
