Eric revealed how he begged 20 years to make this song come to life.
“So, over 20 years ago some unknown artist named Eric Benèt begged Tamia's record label to PLEASE play the demo of a song he wrote called SPEND MY LIFE. I knew then just as surely as I know now how powerful our voices would be together. THANK YOU JESUS you said YES!!”
Eric added that after 20 years Tamia is still one of his good friends.
