Hyun Bin charms Pinoy fans anew in BTS video of telco ad

Hyun Bin steals the hearts of his fans once again in the behind-the-scenes video of his latest television commercial (TVC) for Philippine telecommunications company Smart Communications.

Smart launched the said video on June 1, three days after the actor's TVC for Smart Giga Life was released.

During the Smart Giga RiVeal digital press conference on June 1, Smart executives talked about their campaign with Hyun Bin and how it was working with the Korean actor.

Though the production was shot in South Korea, the entire TVC was planned and finalized digitally.

According to Jane Basas, Smart SVP and Head for Consumer Wireless Business, they were determined to get their partnership done despite the pandemic.

"One hundred percent of this project was done online.

"From the planning stages to clearing the story board with Hyun Bin, to the pre-prod, to the actual shoot, to the post-production, everything was done completely online. Thanks to the power of technology.

"Now, we have the first TVC of Hyun Bin for Filipinos."

Smart Vice President for Corporate Marketing and Strategy Lloyd Dennis Manaloto said that the Crash Landing On You star was so easy to work with.

"Just like his character Captain Ri, he didn't make a lot of fuss.

"His team did not make a lot of fuss, they would say if something is doable or not.

"We shot the whole thing in one day, so we did the photography at 1 PM and finished at about 6 PM just in time to catch the sunset.

"From 6 PM to 12 MN, we shot the TVC videos.
