Korean girl group BLACKPINK's Lisa Manoban was reported to have been swindled by her former manager and lost 1 billion won ($817,661 USD).

The manager allegedly told Lisa he would use her money to help her find some real estate investments but used the money for personal reasons.

In a statement released by BLACKPINK's agency label YG Entertainment, news regarding the fraud case was confirmed.

Korean news sites Naver and Soompi published the statement which mentioned the manager has resigned from YG Entertainment and that the company is working towards preventing such acts from happening again.

"After looking into the matter, we confirmed that Lisa was a victim of fraud by former manager "A."

"According to Lisa's wishes to settle this amicably, as the former manager was someone Lisa had trusted, Manager “A” has reimbursed a part of the sum and has left the company after agreeing on a reimbursement plan for the rest of the sum.

"We bow our heads and apologize for causing concern to the fans who love our artist.

"We are embarrassed by the misconduct of “A,” and we are feeling responsible for the management and supervision.

"We are taking preventive measures so that this does not happen again.”

Currently, BLACKPINK is preparing for their comeback album as well as the girl's solo tracks.

In a statement from YG Entertainment's official Twitter, the agency confirmed that BLACKPINK members Rosé, Lisa, and Jisoo's solo tracks will be released after BLACKPINK's official album release this June.

Lisa's fans took to social media their reactions and made their idol trend on Twitter.
