South Korean artist Rain, real name Jung Ji-hoon, is proving to younger audiences that he's still the world star we know him to be by releasing a remix version of his 2017 song “Gang.”

Rain became quite a popular topic on social media last May in South Korea after a 27-second dance cover by a high school student went viral on YouTube. The cover video has already gained more than two million views, bringing attention to the original music video.

Rain's signature dance moves didn't sit well with the newer and younger generation of K-pop fans.

And what happens when something goes viral in social media? They turn it into a meme.

Thus, “One Gang a Day” was born, wherein people have to watch the video at least once every day to have a laugh and be relieved of stress amid the global coronavirus pandemic.

When asked about the issue on MBC's “Hang Out with Yoo,” Rain showed that he's a good sport by saying, “I'm very disappointed. Why do one 'Gang' a day? It should be at least three 'Gang' a day.

“One 'Gang' after breakfast, one 'Gang' after lunch, and one 'Gang' after dinner.”

After three years, Rain is back with a new version of “Gang” and this time he's bringing back-up by giving the spotlight to his fellow South Korean artists Jay Park, Sik K, Haon, and pH-1.

The re-release is a surprise from the singer as he only posted the announcement yesterday, June 3rd, with a silhouette of himself along with the four rappers.

He simply captioned the post with, “Tomorrow… 6/4”

Before the start of the music video, it is written that all the artists participating have shown support for the Black Lives Matter movement.

Adding, “H1GHRMUSIC supports the fight against injustice and wants equality for all.”

H1GHR MUSIC is the global hip-hop label founded by Jay Park and Cha Cha Malone in 2017.

In the music video, Jay Park, Sik K, Haon, and pH-1 take turns in dropping the lyrics in each verse with Rain participating in the dance break by the three-minute mark.

Jay Park sings, “Let the haters talk, I don't care what they say. Get everything wet, can you feel the rain.

“You better watch out I'm gonna make it rain,” in reference to the legend's name.
