The 56th Baeksang Arts Awards will be broadcasted without a live audience at the Korea International Exhibition Center on June 5, 5PM KST.
The 56th Baeksang Awards features top Korean celebrities Hyun Bin, Park Seo-joon, and IU as well as acclaimed Korean film Parasite among its nominees.
Korean actors Hyun Bin and Park Seo-joon are up for Best Actor while Son Ye-jin and IU are nominated for Best Actress.
Among the other contenders for Best Actor include Kang Ha-neul, Joo Ji-hoon, and Namgoong Min. Nominees for Best actress include Gong Hyo-jin, Kim Hye-soo, and Kim Hee-ae.
In the film category, Bong Joon-ho's Parasite is up for nominations including Best Picture.
Parasite has previously been awarded in the 2020 Oscars as the first non-English film to win Best Picture.
Other Best Picture nominees are The Man Standing Next, House of Hummingbird, Exit, and Kim Ji-Young: Born 1982.
Meanwhile, in the television awards category, Crash Landing on You, Kingdom, Hyena, When the Camellia Blooms, and Stove League are vying for the Best Drama award.
Park Bo-gum, Suzy, and Shin Dong-yup will be hosting the awards. Among the other presenters include Lee Byung-hun, Yum Jung-ah, Han Ji-min, Lee Sung-min, Go Soo, Ahn So-hee, Park Hae-joon, Kwon So-hyun, Lee Jung-eun, Kim Byung-chul, Jang Seung-jo, Lee Elijah, Jin Sun-kyu, Seo Yi-sook, Sung Soo-yeon, and Jun Hyun-moo.
Korean celebrities Kim Soo-hyun and Seo Ye-ji will be presenting the Best Drama and Best Picture awards, while Kim Yoo-jung and Im Siwan are giving out the TikTok Popularity Awards.
Amid the coronavirus pandemic, the 2020 Baeksang Awards will be broadcasted without a live audience at the Korea International Exhibition Center on June 5, 4:50 PM KST and will air live on JTBC.
