“Sobrang pataasan at unahan," says JK Labajo pointing out unhealthy competition in the local music industry.

This was the question posed by 'Buwan' singer JK Labajo as he shared his observation about the OPM industry on Instagram on Monday, June 15.

In a lengthy post on Instagram yesterday, June 15, the young singer laments the unhealthy competition he see in the local music industry.

JK wrote, "Too much unhealthy competition going in our local music industry.

"Sobrang pataasan at unahan to the point where they seem to forget the true essence of music.”

He added that the OPM industry has a huge potential if only everyone set aside their differences.

“Imagine if we all helped each other? Imagine our huge potential.

“What if we all stop being selfish for once? What if we all choose to set our musical and artistic differences aside and love each other? Glorious musical orgy! I can imagine what we can create as a whole..."

JK Labajo's Instagram post was liked by more than 5,300 users including fellow singers Jed Madela and Sam Mangubat.
