Elijah Alejo on portraying Brianna in 'Prima Donnas': "Mas nakilala po ako dito and it gave me more opportunities po."
In line with the celebration of GMA's 70th anniversary, Kapuso teen star Elijah Alejo looks back at her career as a Kapuso.
She has portrayed different characters on TV for the past 10 years, but she feels proudest of her role as Brianna in the hit Kapuso afternoon series, Prima Donnas, saying it's an answered prayer.
"'Yun po 'yung nakuha ko po 'yung role ni Brianna kasi talaga pong pinag-pray ko po s'ya kay Lord and ito po 'yung first kontrabida role ko," Elijah shared in GMA's 70th anniversary online campaign titled #SolidKapuso.
"Mas nakilala po ako dito and it gave me more opportunities po."
More than the role, what makes Elijah really proud about being a Kapuso is the bond she shared with her co-stars, as well as the network's core values and service to people.
"Para po sa 'kin 'yung Kapuso, hindi lang po siya work, it's more of a bond, more of a family po, she said.
"Ito po kasi 'yung pagkakaisa, pagmamahalan at pagsasamahan po ng bawat Pilipino.
"'Yung pag-serve, 'yung pag-care and 'yung pagpapasaya mo po sa kapwa mo."
Prima Donnas is temporarily replaced by 2009 primetime series, Stairway To Heaven, as part of the special programming of GMA at the time of COVID-19 quarantine.
Viewers can still watch the afternoon series' full episodes aired until March 18 on GMANetwork.com and GMA Network app.
