Heart Evangelista to launch Big Heart PH to help students in distance learning

Heart Evangelista announced her new project that aims to help students in distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Kapuso star shared a photo and the story how she decided to sell a painting to raise funds for students.

“A few weeks ago, I sold this painting of mine in hopes to raise funds to do something that my heart was calling me to. ️”

Heart acknowledged the reality that this pandemic has affected a lot of people, including the students.

“This pandemic has affected so many people in all walks of life and some of those most affected are the students-- under the new normal, they would be required to comply with distance learning or forced to stop their education if they couldn't.”

With distance learning, students would need their own mobile gadgets or computers and a stable internet connection. That is the reason why Heart decided to help them especially when she was asked through her social media accounts for assistance.

“That means that each student would need access to their own tablet and internet. This project of mine started when people were messaging me on Twitter asking for assistance. I knew then in my heart that I had to do something. Something bigger.” ⁣

Heart revealed that on the 1st of July, she will officially launch a project that will help students during this difficult time. She admitted that she might not be able to help everyone but she's hoping that this project would help some students to pursue their education.

"On July 1, I will officially be launching Big Heart PH-- a project that will help equip students in need with tools for them to be able to continue their education. ️ I know this little project of mine will not be able to help everyone, but I know it will change the lives of those we are able to. #BigHeartPH @phbigheart"
