'Zooperstars' goes to Singapore

Zooperstars goes from “cute adventurous” to “world-class educational” as it embarks on a three-part journey to Singapore beginning Sunday, June 6. src="http://aphrodite.gmanetwork.com/entertainment/articles/stars2009/zooperstars_insidepic1.jpg?amp" class="left_align" alt="stars"/>Faithful to its promise of delivering quality infotainment, the Kapuso Network sent hosts Gelli De Belen, Julian Trono and Sabrina Man to the Lion City to let audiences appreciate and learn about a variety of habitats and animals which they would otherwise not encounter in a lifetime. First stop is the Singapore Zoo which is famed for its majestic size and award-winning animal-reservation programs. Pet lovers, zookeepers and governments all over the world could get so much inspiration from this zoo as it offers genuine interaction and unique attractions without compromising the animals’ health. Join the hosts as they get intimate with a mélange of birds and mammals. Dare to restrain an owl and an eagle firsthand like what Julian did. Trust Mommy Gelli when she says mother nurtures best as she feeds giraffes quadruple her size! Unleash the mermaid in you as Sabrina listens to the calls for help of the sea lions who are slowly decreasing in number. In exchange of a sweet sloppy kiss from a harmless sea lion, wouldn’t you want to learn the simple yet highly-effective ways on how you could help them? Taking animal bonding to a wilder level is the rare chance of talking face to face with leopards, lions and jaguars in Cat Country. With only a glass enclosure separating the hosts from the deadly felines, the view is so vivid that audiences could easily count the stripes and spots of the ferocious cats. From Bird Haven, Butterfly Park, Primate Kingdom to the Australian Outback, interacting with such wonderful and rare animals is fun, easy and safe. The love that trainers and zookeepers have for the animals would impress if not touch even the most apathetic of people. Zooperstars is truly hopeful that this trip would awaken the “stewards” in humans while letting them embrace the wonders and delight that comes with it. Zooperstars’ three-part special in Singapore airs on June 6, June 13 and June 20, 9:45 am, only on GMA. Text and photo courtesy of GMA Network
