Beginning June 21, Trudis Liit will invade TV via the afternoon drama block Sine Novela as part of GMA-7’s 60th anniversary offering. Trudis Liit is the 20th installment of Sine Novela. Sine Novela presents Mars Ravelo's Trudis Liit introduces the newest child sensation Jillian Ward who will make the classic film-turned series the newest afternoon craze to watch out. Aside from Jillian, the newest Sine Novela offering takes pride in bringing together a star-studded cast from veteran artists to the newest child stars in the industry led by Maxene Magalona, Pauleen Luna, Ian Veneracion, Mike Tan and Ms. Gina Alajar. Also in the show are Cris Villanueva, Jap Mapa, Maricel Morales, Dexter Doria, Archie Adamos, Marc Acueza, Francheska Salcedo and Jamaica Oliver. Created by Mars Ravelo, Trudis Liit remains to be one of the most popular child wonders in the history of Philippine cinema and comics since 1963. The movie was the first film role of the award-winning actress Ms. Vilma Santos which gave her first ever FAMAS award. Because of its wonderful story, a remake of Trudis Liit was made three decades later. Today, under the direction of Don Michael Perez, Sine Novela Presents Trudis Liit unveils the heartwarming tale of a little kid who has a huge heart and a wide warm smile for her family and the people around her. Synopsis Trudis, a five-year-old girl who possesses ideal traits that parents would want to have for their daughter: pretty, kind-hearted, helpful, diligent and smart. She is well loved by her adoptive father Lino (Jao Mapa) and her younger sister Upeng (Jamaica Oliver). The only thing missing in Trudis life is the affection from her mother, Magda (Maricel Morales). Unfortunately a tragic incident will hit the family leading Trudis and Upeng to seek refuge from their caring and compassionate distant relative Mercedes (Maxene Magalona) who will be assisted by her friend Migs (Mike Tan). But Trudis’ serene and joyful life changes when the little girl finally meets her biological father Nick (Cris Villanueva). Hoping to have a better life, Trudis will move in with Nick and his new family which includes Nick’s wife Honey (Pauleen Luna), Honey’s sister Sugar (Francheska Salcedo and her mother Lolly (Gina Alajar). Little did Trudis know that her father’s family will just make her life miserable. But can these lazy and scheming women dishearten an innocent kid whose only joy is to be loved and cared for? Will Trudis be able find again her only family who has truly loved her—her sister Upeng? And now that her sister Upeng is not around, to whom will Trudis find the affection that she has been yearning for?
