Kapuso actress Mikee Quintos revealed that her new single “Ngayon” is dedicated to the people who have lost their loved ones to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
In her interview with 24 Oras, Mikee related that her family has lost a family friend recently and it was really hard for them.
“When I heard the news, it was really sad.
"Nakakaiyak lang na 'yung thought na walang burol, hindi pwedeng magburol.
"Inikot nila 'yung coffin niya in a car sa barangay. Sobrang biglaan lang ng lahat.
“I'm praying for everyone who lost a loved one during COVID-19 pandemic,” she said.

Mikee likewise related that her new song “Ngayon” is meant to inspire people to find the strength to see the bright side of things no matter how dark life can get.
“I really like how the tone sends a positive feeling. Parang good vibes siya.
“I wanted to inspire people na gamitin 'yung time na mayroon tayo ngayon. Gawin na lahat ngayon lahat ng hindi nila nagawa before.
“See the brighter side of things with everything that's going on na kahit ang lungkot ng news, kahit ang lungkot ng mga nangyayari sa atin, it's up to us to make good news for ourselves,” she added.
On Sunday, July 26, Mikee dropped a feel-good music video for “Ngayon” on her YouTube channel.
Mikee personally edited the video which is composed of several clips of her celebrity friends including Solenn Huessaff and her family, Max Collins and her newborn son, Gabbi Garcia, Andre Paras, and Bianca Umali, among others.
“Ngayon” is an original inspirational song created by the GMA Playlist Live team.
