'The Promised Neverland' releases teaser photo for Season 2

Japanese anime series The Promised Neverland released a key art for it's upcoming second season to air in January 2021.

A photo of one of the anime's main characters, Emma, was posted on the manga series' official Facebook.

The post was captioned, "The journey continues January 2021."



The original manga was written by Kaiu Shirai and illustrated by Posuka Demizu. The Promised Neverland follows the story of three gifted kids, Emma, Norman, and Ray, living in an orphanage with a dark secret. The three find a way to escape the orphanage upon realizing the truth behind the place.

As of June 2020, The Promised Neverland had more than 21 million copies in publication. In 2018, it received the 63rd Shogakukan Manga Award.

The manga's final chapter was released in June 2020.
