After three months of battling acute myeloid leukemia, popular YouTuber Emman Nimedez has passed away.

The sad news of his passing was reported by his girlfriend, Peachy Santos, early Sunday morning.

In a post on Facebook, Peachy wrote, "Our beloved Emman Nimedez joined our Creator at 1:00 a.m. today, August 16, 2020, Sunday. He was with his family during the time of his passing at St. Luke's Medical Center - Quezon City.

"Our family is thankful to everyone who offered prayers and showed support."

Details of Emman's funeral will follow in a few days.

She added, "We hope everyone will respect the family's privacy to mourn the passing of Emman. Thank you."

On Friday, reports of his ill health circulated online after Peachy asked for prayers for Emman's quick recovery after experiencing kidney failure and blood complications.

Emman shared that he was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia last May.

At the time, he said that it will be his greatest battle yet.

Makakatawid tayo,” Emman said.

Acute myeloid leukemia is a type of cancer that affects the body's bone marrow and blood cells.

Several YouTubers showed their support to Emman, including vloggers Wil Dasovich, CongTV, and indie-folk band Ben&Ben.
