Winnie Monsod is impressed by a cosplayer's makeup transformation

By Marah Ruiz

Makeup transformation are always fun to watch so the New Normal: The Survival Guide' series Newsmakers asked its host Winnie Monsod to judge four talented artists' skills.

They pitted a drag queen, cosplayer, special effects artist, and horror makeup artist in a segment called "Kampeon sa Ka-art-ehan."

Tita Winnie will score them based on "hanep sa galing" (50%), "kakaibang talento" (30%), and "level up ang transformation" (20%).

She was particulary impressed at how cosplayer JM Mirabel transformed into a male and female character, Prince Eric then Ariel of Disney's The Little Mermaid.

She actually thought it was two different persons doing the transformations.

"Na-shock ako. He had a completely different aspect. I could not tell you what he was doing before and what he was doing after because I was nasindak sa kanyang characterization," she says.
