Winnie Monsod

Winnie Monsod took on another quarantine food fad and tried ordering samgyupsal delivery online.

Samgyupsal recently became a really popular food especially for large gatherings.

As such, it was one of the food that was quickly able to adapt to the new normal when the country was put on quarantine.

Samgyupsal, complete with the side dishes and even the grill, can now be delivered at home.

New Normal: The Survival Guide series Newsmakers challenged its host Winnie Monsod to try ordering samgyupsal online.

"Actually, ngayon ko lang nalaman na pwede palang mag-deliver ng samgyup sa bahay ko," she says.

She says that she actually enjoys eating the Korean dish.

"The first time I had experienced with the samgyup was when I went with the '[Bawal ang] Pasaway' team to the restaurant there in front of GMA 7. Ang sarap sarap naman talaga. I mean, it's really good and very very moderately priced. I enjoyed it," she recalled.

With a bit of help, Tita Winnie was able to order a "couples set" which is priced at P600.

It comes with three kinds of meat, fresh lettuce, kimchi, ssamjang, gochujang and cheese.

"A lot of things, a lot of side dishes. It's really very good," she says of the set.

"And would you believe, mga Kapuso, they even provide the grill," she added.

Watch Tita Winnie cook and enjoy her online samgyupsal delivery in the video above from Newsmakers, a series from New Normal: The Survival Guide.
