#PINNED: Get immersed in local and out-of-this-world travel through these documentaries
The one thing that we miss the most when it comes to pre-pandemic activities is, of course, traveling. This year has forced us to remain stuck indoors and heavily discouraged to go out, much less travel to other places in the country. Fortunately for us, we still have some avenues of escape that we can utilize to the maximum. Among these avenues is YouTube and its near-inexhaustible supply of entertaining videos.
For the second week of YouTube and GMA Network's Super Stream, a fresh crop of lifestyle videos, primarily documentaries, will be freely available to our online audience. This article will be focusing on the documentaries that will surely get us out of our travel funk and somehow lessen the collective cabin fever that we're feeling since the start of quarantine.
Misteryo
Let's start our online journey with a tour that's literally out-of-this world, the physical world, that is. Join Ryan Eigenmann and his team as they explore the historical Museo ng Maynila, a place that used to be a meeting point for soldiers during the Second World War. The employees of the museum speak of haunted halls and dead soldiers that never found peace, and it is up to our Kapuso team to find out if this is true and somehow, help the dead move on.
Pamana: Saving Our Heritage
How do we conserve our heritage here in the Philippines? This travel-environmental documentary will take us to some of Philippines' most famous world heritage sites which are also, ironically, the most endangered due to several challenges. Join Kapuso journalists Kara David, Raffy Tima, and Mariz Umali as they travel to Banaue, Palawan, and Vigan to explore these majestic heritage sites and also tackle the challenges of maintaining them.
Summer Squad Goals
While March to May 2020 will always be known as the lost summer, nothing is stopping us from making plans for next year or from reliving the summer vacays that we used to have. If you're in dire need of vitamin sea, why don't you join Kapuso hunks David Licauco and Ken Chan and Kapuso sweethearts Rita Daniela and Kiray Celis as they explore our country's top tourist destinations? Hopefully, these travel documentaries will make us appreciate more the tropical paradise we call home and also give us a glimpse of what traveling was before the pandemic. This might inspire you and your own squad to start planning your travel destinations once it's okay to travel again.
