It felt like a scene from a Hollywood disaster movie.

Award-winning comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto, who has been staying in California for several months now, captured the effects of the intense wildfires in San Francisco.

In a report by GMA News Online, California governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency in the Fresno, Madera, Mariposa, San Bernardino and San Diego counties due to the wildfires.

In the same article, the state of California registered record-high temperatures last Sunday, because of the dangerous heat wave affecting a huge portion of western United States.

On her Instagram, Rufa Mae shared a couple of videos showing a thick blanket of smoke around San Francisco.

The former Bubble Gang star wrote she couldn't believe what she was seeing.

“Kasalukuyang 12:00 pm dito. Tanghaling tapat sa San Francisco pero ito po ang labas namin... nakaka shock man, Kailangan , maging strong keep calm and carry on! Bay bridge.

“Nagulat ako pag gising ko kala ko pa sunrise palang .. tapos Isip Isip lobo na ba? char! Ayun pala , ganyan ang kapaligiran kasi may wildfire dahil may heatwave ang long weekend Labor Day dito.

“Sa sobrang init , madaming nasusunog, ang fields, forest, grass, trees mountains. Lahat ng taga dito Sabi, first time it happened ever in this lifetime, Anyways, keep safe guys.”

Rufa Mae traveled to California, where her husband Trevor Magallanes is currently working, last February for Valentine's Day and to celebrate the third birthday of Alexandria.

They got stranded in the U.S. after the COVID-19 pandemic caused massive flight cancellations across the globe.

The actress got married to Trevor in 2016.
