Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray is setting an example to her fans as she takes a swab test for COVID-19.

In her Instagram post, the Filipino-Australian beauty posted behind-the-scenes photos of herself waiting in line and getting tested for the virus at the Philippine Red Cross.

She told her 10.4 million followers, “Completed another swab test at @philredcross and it's empowering knowing that I'm equipped with the knowledge about my status as I continue to be busy with work and different projects.”

Catriona said that getting tested is “not just to take care of myself, but to also take care of my family, friends, work colleagues, and of our community.”

She also noted that getting tested for the virus is important in helping the country flatten the curve.

“The @philredcross is at the forefront of COVID-19 testing with molecular laboratories all over the country. The need to test, trace, and treat is essential in order to flatten the curve,” she said.

Before advocating swab testing, Catriona and boyfriend Sam Milby released an acoustic version of the former's song “We're In This Together.”

According to the beauty queen, all of the proceeds from the streams and downloads will go to Young Focus Philippines' “Quality Education for All” campaign which aims to raise PhP 1 million to kickstart an online education program for their students amid the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
