Derek Ramsay and Andrea Torres assemble a solar light together

By Marah Ruiz

Kapuso couple Derek Ramsay and Andrea Torres continue to do their part for people in need during the pandemic.

The two assembled a solar light in solidarity with the Liter of Light project of social entrepreneur Illac Diaz.

Derek and Andrea chronicled how they assembled the solar light in a new vlog.

"For those who don't know, there's still lots of families in our community who still don't have electricity. Our dear friend Illac Diaz, hes doing so much for this country. One of the things he's doing is this Liter of Light which can give families without electricity solar light," Derek explains.

As part of the project, Illac also launched the Light It Forward Challenge where celebrities personally assemble a solar lamp.

"We're going to assemble this and we're going to give it to a family without electricity," Andrea says.

The couple then proceeds to open the kit which contains instructions, a screw driver, a light, and a solar panel.

"Parang konti lang naman ang ilalagay. Parang kaya naman in 20 minutes," Andrea muses.
