By Jansen Ramos

Rocco Nacino has once again added another credential in his long list of accomplishments as he officially joined the Naval Special Operations Group (NAVSOG) as an honorary member today, September 25.

The Kapuso star joined the officers of the Philippine Navy unit in a graduation ceremony held at its headquarters in Sangley Point, Cavite City.

As a testament to his achievement, Rocco now carries four post-nominal titles in his full name: Petty Officer 3 Enrico Raphael Quioge Nacino, RN, MAN, NAVSOG, PN (Reserved).

In a text message he sent to GMANetwork.com, the Kapuso Foundation ambassador said that his partnership with NAVSOG has a significant purpose.

"As a Kapuso Foundation ambassador, and with their close relationship with Kapuso Foundation as well, we look forward to creating more and bigger activities in helping our Filipino Kapusos and the country," he shared.

Rocco also said that Descendants of the Sun PH, where he portrays a technical sergeant, played a vital role in enabling him to work with the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

"Doing Descendants of the Sun has paved so many opportunities for me to work with the AFP to provide education and awareness for our fellow Filipinos," Rocco stated.

In his visit to NAVSOG headquarters, Rocco was accompanied by his ever supportive girlfriend, Melissa Gohing.

Prior to becoming NAVSOG honorary member, Rocco became a fully-fledged navy reservist after graduating from his basic citizen military training under Philippine Navy last October 26.

Three months after, Rocco was officially donned the rank of Petty Officer Third Class of the Philippine Navy reserve command during a ceremony held at naval warfare service's headquarters in Roxas Blvd., Manila.
