Seo Ye-ji, BTS win big in 2020 Brand of The Year Awards

It's Okay To Not Be Okay (IOTNBO) star Seo Ye-ji and K-pop royalty BTS were among the winners in the recently concluded 2020 Brand of the Year Awards.

Leading Korean pop culture website Soompi reported that Ye-ji, who brilliantly portrayed Ko Mun-yeong, an antisocial children's book author in IOTNBO bagged the Actress of the year recognition.

Meanwhile, the phenomenal septet BTS, which is handled by the label BigHit Entertainment, took home the Male Idol plum award.

In addition, best-selling Korean female recording artist and actress IU won in the Female Ad Model category, too.

According to the same Soompi report, the Brand of the Year Awards was hosted by the Korean Consumer Brand Committee and overseen by the Korean Consumer Forum.

The winners were chosen through online votes and this year 550,000 Koreans took part in the voting.
