Super Junior's Ryeowook is dating former TAHITI member Ari
Love is in the air for Super Junior member Ryeowook after he confirmed that he is dating former TAHITI member Ari.
On September 29, SpoTVNews reported that the two K-pop idols began dating after being introduced by a close friend.
Following the reports, Label SJ validated the relationship and said, “We confirm that Ryeowook and Ari are in a romantic relationship after they were first good friends as senior and junior artists.”
In Lysn, Ryeowook wrote a statement about his dating life and apologized to fans for finding out about his relationship through news media outlets.
“Firstly, I'm sorry that E.L.F. has got to know the person I'm dating in this manner,” he said.
“Thinking about it now, E.L.F. has given me a lot of consideration. I should have acted more discreetly and with more consideration so I'm reflecting on that. It seems like it is because of this that I have caused this current chaos.
“I am dating that person that everyone is talking about.
“Super Junior and E.L.F. are precious to me. Calling you guys nicknames and expressing my heart, all of that was truly from my heart.
“I am also very sorry to the members who were very shocked [about the news]. I will think about it more carefully before I act in the future.
“As much as everyone believed and supported me until now, I will be the Ryeowook who will take on bigger responsibilities and repay it to everyone. I will do my best so that I will never bring any harm to the activities of Super Junior, who has always been my number 1.
“Thank you for still believing in me.”
Meanwhile, Ari took to Twitter to clarify some things including that she is not a member of Shincheonji, the religious group being blamed for the massive COVID-19 infection in Daegu, South Korea.
She said, “There were many mistakes I've made that hurt many people, and I am sorry.
“I am a Christian and am not part of the Shincheonji. The captured photo of the lady is not me… I'm sorry if I caused a misunderstanding.
“I apologize for staying silent until now. I believe there will be some people who might feel uncomfortable about me and explaining anything and I might cause harm to him. I will try to become more mature and act properly.
“I know my words won't alleviate everyone's hearts but I wanted everyone to know how sorry I am. I'm truly, truly sorry.”
Ryeowook is part of the legendary K-pop boy group Super Junior while Ari debuted in 2012 in the girl group TAHITI.
