After treating BLINKs with “Ice Cream,” Korean pop sensation BLACKPINK is back with their new track “Lovesick Girls.”

On the day of their first full-length album release, the music video for the title track shows each of the members declaring how they miss the person they love, so much so that they are unable to act normally.

Adding to the hype is French DJ David Guetta who reportedly produced the song making the track one of the highly-anticipated dance anthems of the year.

A million units sold for 'THE ALBUM'

While all of this is going on, BLACKPINK has set a new record ahead of the release of their first full-length album.

On October 2, YG Entertainment announced that BLACKPINK THE ALBUM has already surpassed 1 million stock pre-orders. This is the highest number of stock pre-orders set by any K-pop girl group which means BLACKPINK is the first-ever girl group to reach the million mark.

According to Soompi.com, the number of pre-orders is the estimated demand to be produced before the album's release. In the girl group's case, the result is based on the combined numbers from around the world --- 670,000 domestic pre-orders and 340,000 units from the United States and Europe.

YG Entertainment said they are expecting the total sales to increase leading to the release of the physical album which will drop digitally today, October 2. The physical album will be released on October 6.

BLACKPINK THE ALBUM will contain eight tracks including the pre-released singles “How You Like That” and “Ice Cream (feat. Selena Gomez).” It will also include a b-side track featuring American rapper Cardi B.

“Lovesick Girls” and BLACKPINK THE ALBUM is out now on all streaming sites.
