The film will have original music from Camila Cabello and Idina Menzel and promises to be quite a different take on the classic fairytale. For starters, Billy Porter's Fab G will be a genderless fairy godparent.
The Cinderella remake is directed by Kay Cannon, best known for writing and producing the Pitch Perfect film series. She also wrote and produced the comedy series New Girl and 30 Rock and made her directorial debut in 2018 with comedy film Blockers.
Cinderella just recently finished filming and is scheduled to premiere on February 5, 2021.
