Since taking a step back from the limelight in July, actress Jinri Park can't seem to shake off her acting bug as she reminisces being on set and being in front of the camera.

Jinri, currently based in Australia, posted a throwback photo of her character in the fantasy series Encantadia.

“The few times I miss being on set: When I play some badass female characters,” she wrote.

“[I am] always ready to kick some serious ass or get my ass kicked. #encantadia #juvila #mystified #action #girlpower.”

In the requel of the popular series, Jinii played the character Juvila, one of the most formidable Etherian warriors.

Her character is considered one of the most ruthless and powerful individuals of the Etherian race, thanks to her close combat and super speed skills.

While her life seems to have taken a 180-turn, Jinri remains badass in her own sense as she balances being a wife to her non-showbiz husband and managing two jobs--being a waitress and a jiu-jitsu class instructor.

In one of her posts, Jinri said that she took on teaching the combat sport to empower more women through self-defense.

“I'm so glad that more women want to try jiu-jitsu when given the opportunity,” she said in one of her posts.

“We need more women on the mats so that our training partners will know how to train and roll with us.

“Not all women will speak up about how they felt during a rolling experience or in class. That's why it's important to have more women in jiu-jitsu.

“I started this women's beginner class for my personal reasons to have more training partners, but now I feel empowered by these women.”

Jinri Park is a trained Brazilian jiu-jitsu fighter and medalist.

In 2018, the South Korean actress bagged one bronze and one silver medal at the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation, and another set of bronze and silver at the Master International Asia Championship.
