'Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho,' '24 Oras' win at the first Mendiola Consortium TV Awards

Four Kapuso shows won awards at the first Mendiola Consortium TV Awards.

Jessica Soho's weekly magazine show, Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, was chosen as the Best Magazine Show.

GMA's documentary program I-Witness was given the Best Documentary Show award.

GMA News TV's travel show Biyahe ni Drew was hailed Best Culture and Art Program.

On the other hand, GMA's comedy show Pepito Manaloto was named Best Comedy Show.

Meanwhile, the shows 24 Oras and Born To Be Wild were given special citations for Best News Program and Best Educational Program, respectively.

The Mendiola Consortium is an educational organization in the Philippines founded on July 16, 1974.

It is composed of members from five institutions namely San Beda University, Centro Escolar University, La Consolacion College of Manila, College of Holy Spirit and St. Jude Catholic School.

Each member school voted based on the mission and vision of each school which promotes peace, Filipino values and role model.
