BTS excites fans with 'BE' concept photo

South Korean boy group BTS has officially unveiled their first concept photo for their upcoming album 'BE'!

At midnight of October 20, the K-pop idols shared the first look of their upcoming comeback that showed the septet looking like members of a rock band.

While little to no detail has yet been unveiled about the upcoming 'BE' album, it is known that the members have taken part in its creation, including its music, concept, and design.

It is slated to drop this November 20, at 1 p.m. Philippine Standard Time.

Aside from their well-anticipated album, BTS members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook will be re-imagined in an alternate reality in the upcoming series titled “Youth.”

On October 19, it was announced that the K-pop titans had become the inspiration of the series, which explores themes of self-discovery and friendship.

The production team clarified that it is not, in any way, a documentary drama about the BTS members but more like a fictional work patterned after their virtual reality game, “BTS Universe.”

The line-up of young actors who will play the beloved idols are the following:

1. Seo Young-joo as Kim Namjoon

Portraying BTS leader Kim Namjoon is Seo Young-joo, who earned an accolade for his performance in the award-winning film “Juvenile Offender.”

Kim Namjoon is a character who wishes to have a normal life, but due to circumstances, got a sense of how tough the real world can be sooner than his peers. Kim Namjoon is also a straight-A student who works multiple jobs to pay off his student loans.

2. Seo Ji-hoon as Kim Seokjin

Seo Ji-hoo is known for his roles in dramas such as “To All The Guys Who Loved Me” and “School 2017.”

In the drama, he will play Kim Seokjin, a character who gives the aura of perfection but, in reality, feels trapped in the life planned by his own father. Because of this, he transfers schools and meets the other characters.

3. Noh Jong-hyun as Min Yoongi

“He is Psychometric” actor Noh Jong-hyun will be transforming as Min Yoongi, a boy who is always followed by rumors. Don't be fooled by his cold exterior though because underneath lies a heart of gold.

4. Ahn Ji-ho as Jung Hoseok

Ahn Ji-ho will be taking on the role of Jung Hoseok, a dance prodigy with an optimistic attitude in life and the dance floor. Although he was abandoned at an amusement park when he was young, he became a ray of sunshine to everyone around him.

5. Kim Yoon-woo as Park Jimin

Kim Yoon-woo will be playing the role of Park Jimin, a boy who hides a secret behind his captivating smile. In the storyline, Park Jimin struggles to find his identity thanks to his overprotective parents.

6. Jung Woo-jin as Kim Taehyung

Jung Woo-jin takes the role of Kim Taehyung, a young boy who lives with an alcoholic father after his wife left him. Although his adolescent life is full of pain, he is hopeful that his father will return to the man he used to be.

7. Jeon Jin-seo as Jeon Jungkook

Last but not least is Jeon Jin-seo, who will play "Golden Maknae” Jeon Jungkook. Here, Jeon Jungkook is a boy who has never experienced happiness that's why he continues to ask his purpose in life and the reason for his existence.

“Youth” is scheduled to premiere in 2021.
