Miss Universe Philippines showcases its official crown

Days before the coronation night of the first-ever Miss Universe Philippines pageant, the official crown has finally been unveiled.

On Tuesday, October 20, the Miss Universe Philippines Organization introduced the crown that is said to “represent the achievement of one's mind over the body as a Filipina.”

Aptly called the “Filipina,” the crown is made by Villarica Pawnshop and is made of topaz, sapphire, ruby, diamonds, and yellow pearls designed to resemble the Philippine flag.

It also features swirls of leaves that symbolize the journey of the woman who “seeks success in different forms yet still keeps the Filipino values at heart.”

“It will be a symbol of triumph over one's journey of trials, hard work, and perseverance in obtaining one's dream. A dream that has become a reality that would inhabit her mind, heart, and spirit,” the organization further said.
