Jasmine Curtis-Smith's new Netflix film not recommended for those aged below 15

By Jansen Ramos

Jasmine Curtis-Smith is experimental when it comes to her roles in movies. She had played a leper, nun, dominatrix, and lesbian, among others.

What's good about it is she gets recognized for her portrayal each time, regardless if it's drama, horror, or romance. Apparently, the 26-year-old actress has moved on from the tweetums phase as she gets to enjoy playing more mature roles.

And speaking of mature roles, Jasmine is starring in a new film with Enchong Dee titled Alter Me.

By looking at the teaser photos released by the film's producer, TEN17P, the upcoming romcom movie seems to be really daring and provocative.

"This is recommended for, siguro, mga 15 and above, and at least they need a guardian if you're in your teenage years kasi meydo mature siya, "Jasmine noted during her guesting on Kapuso ArtisTambayan on Thursday, October 22.

Alter Me features the alter world where people created another social media account specially to feed their desires.

In the movie, Jasmine plays Aimee, an HR manager who seeks the mentorship of Uno (Enchong), a coveted escort, to better connect with other people and her own emotions.

"I play like an office manager which is really, really out of touch sa emotions niya, napaka-istrikto niya.

"Medyo masama siyang tao, sa mga paligid niya and then one day her friend recommended she get a release, and she finds this release by going in the alter world kasi meron akong alter account.

"So she meets this most famous alter guy which is Enchong and from there, si Enchong 'yung magso-soften ng pagka-stiff ni Aimee," Jasmine fondly shared.

Alter Me is directed by RC Delos Reyes and written by Danno Christoper Mariquit.

It will premiere on Netflix on November 15 across Asia.
