Lovi Poe and Benjamin Alves, excited to resume taping for 'Owe My Love' under the new normal

Lovi Poe and Benjamin Alves are about to do a lock-in taping with the rest of the powerhouse cast of Owe My Love for their Kapuso romantic-comedy series.

The production of the Kapuso series had already begun when activities were put to a halt due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While work was interrupted due to the health crisis, the team took the opportunity to update the rom-com's storyline and offer a truly relevant and informative show for its viewers.

Owe My Love does not only aim to appeal to its viewers' emotions, but also to improve their financial literacy. It follows the romance of Sensen and Doc Migs, Lovi and Benjamin's characters, respectively, who were fated by true love and financial indebtedness.

Sensen is her family's breadwinner who juggles her time as a delivery service driver along with her other odd side jobs. Meanwhile, Doc Migs is a medical frontliner. But aside from saving lives, he also hosts an online show to teach money-saving and investment tips. The two characters cross paths as the former looks for ways to make ends meet while the latter searches how to fill the emptiness in his family.

The cast and production team are scheduled to resume taping in November while observing health and safety protocols under the new normal. They all have met once again via a virtual story conference and the two lead stars could only express their excitement and appreciation for the show.

Lovi said, “First of all, I'm super excited na magsisimula na tayo ulit and again, I'm just so happy to see everyone kahit na sa Zoom lang tayo. I'm looking forward sa November na and I'm glad din na we were able to change the story or tweak it accordingly sa mga nangyayari ngayon.”

Benjamin echoed his leading lady's words, saying, “They were able to twist it and be creative with it. For how many months, nandito pa rin 'yung pagbasa natin ng storyline at nandito pa rin 'yung creativity niyo as if we were still doing our storycon back in March. I know as far as actors, we're all excited to interpret it. We're excited to get on set.”

Owe My Love's stellar cast also includes Aiai Delas Alas, Winwyn Marquez, Leo Martinez, Nova Villa, Jackie Lou Blanco, Ruby Rodriguez, Mike “Pekto” Nacua, Ryan Eigenmann, Buboy Villar, Kiray Celis, Jelai Andres, Jon Gutierrez, Jason Francisco, Divine Tetay, Donita Nose, and Mahal.
