As if Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin were not enough, South Korean actor and everyone's favorite oppa, Park Seo-joon has joined Smart Communications Inc.'s roster of endorsers.

On Wednesday, October 28, the Itaewon Class actor was hailed as its newest endorser, in partnership with streaming site Viu, to bring the “kilig” in K-dramas as he promotes the Giga K-Video99, which is one of the new promos for K-drama-loving prepaid subscribers.

In his commercial, Park Seo-joon is seen comforting a girl as he moves on from a recent break-up and speaks in Tagalog, “K lang 'yan.”

During a private press event, President and CEO Alfredo S. Panililio said that choosing Park Seo-joon was a no-brainer due to his popularity among the Filipino audience.

“I think like the two international endorsers that we had, which is Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin, Park Seo-joon is very popular and well-loved by the Filipino audience. He's a household name here in the Philippines.

“But more than anything, I think, the endorsers that we've chosen are very professional, humble, and very successful in their careers, and this is something we're very proud of.”

Park Seo-joon's campaign comes two months after Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin's respective campaigns were launched.

The K-drama actor is best known for his roles in television dramas such as She Was Pretty, Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Yout, Fight For My Way, What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, and Itaewon Class.
