The discovery was made yesterday, November 2, at about 1:44 p.m.
Park Ji-sun was 36 years old.
Initial reports said that the comedian's father called police after he couldn't get through their phones despite several attempts.
Park Ji-sun was apparently undergoing treatment for an unspecified illness. Her mother was staying with her.
The police are still investigating the exact nature of their deaths but mentioned that “there were no signs of outside intrusion or murder.”
Authorities are not ruling out the possibility that the two committed suicide.
Park, an education graduate at Korea University, gained fame for her self-deprecating humor.
She was a mainstay of the TV comedy show Gag Concert, and other programs such as Yoo Quiz on the Block, King of Mask Singer, and Infinite Challenge.
