GMA-7's top-rating daily primetime series Bantatay was named Most Entertaining Child Friendly Show by the National Council for Children's Television (NCCT) and the Department of Education (DepEd) during the first Lingkod TV Awards held at the Rajah Sulayman Theater in Fort Santiago, Intramuros, Manila last December 28. stars The award is given to Bantatay in recognition of its unique and dynamic approach towards upholding traditional Filipino values and proper animal treatment through its original storyline and informative pet care segment Bilin ni Bantay. Since it was launched in September last year, Bantatay was able to maintain such youthful and engaging feel to the show, which in turn, has reaped the program consistent high ratings and praises from viewers from all over. The Bantatay cast composed of Raymart Santiago, Gelli De Belen, Jennica Garcia, Carl Guevarra, Elmo Magalona, Camille Pratts, Gary Estrada, Kier Legaspi, Al Tantay, Marissa Delgado, Prince Stefan, Renz Valerio, Krystal Reyes, Maybeline Dela Cruz, Jessie Corcuera, and Jim Pebangco, and director Don Michael Perez are thankful to the NCCT and DepEd for giving them such heart-warming recognition, and are all the more inspired to give the show their 100 percent.
