K Brosas reveals mom and sister have contracted COVID-19 in Italy

K Brosas has revealed that her mom and sister, who are currently living in Italy, have contracted the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

In a Twitter exchange with a netizen, the comedienne revealed the health status of her family members.

“Itong gag*ng 'to puro inutil ang post sa mga artista… May 2020 nag-start sa Twitter kaya alam na,” she said.

“Nasa mood akong pumatol ngayon dahil may COVID ang kapatid ko at mama ko na nasa emergency room now! Mas marami pang nagawa mga artista kesa sa mga kakulto mo gag*!”

In a follow-up post, K reminded her fans that the virus is still within our midst as she relates it to the resurgence of COVID-19 cases in Italy.

She also shared that her mom might have contracted the virus from her sister, who is currently working as a nurse.

“May COVID pa baka nakakalimutan n'yo. Ang Italy naging okay pero now, marami ulit,” she reiterated.

“Ang sister kong nurse meron na at halos buong hospital nila. Dahil sa kanya nakatira mama ko, nahawa rin [siya] at nasa emergency room now at wala akong balita kaya 'wag ngayon mga kampon ng dimunyu!”

Following the news, many of K Brosas's fans offered their prayers for her mom and sister's speedy recovery from the virus.

One said, “Praying for your mom and sis, Ms. K. Sister kong nurse nag-swab test din ngayon dahil na-expose sa positive na patient. Kailangan talagang magdasal para sa kaligtasan nating lahat, lalung-lalo na sa frontliners.”

Another wrote, “I am sorry to hear that, Ms. K. But I am pretty sure they will be healed. The rest of my family and I got COVID because of my son, who happened to be a frontliner. Yet, we recovered. Pati ang tatay kong 74 years old. Kapit lang and pray tayo.”
