Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo join forces to aid typhoon-hit residents in Cagayan.
Ultimate Star and Descendants of the Sun PH actress Jennylyn Mercado launched a donation drive she dubbed “StarTruck,” on Wednesday, November 18.

The actress appealed to the public to help her fill a 10-wheeler truck with relief foods and other supplies that will be delivered to the residents of Tuguegarao in Cagayan, who were affected by Typhoon Ulysses.
To show support for his girlfriend, actor Dennis Trillo echoed Jennylyn's call for donations.
“Marami pa ring Cagayanos ang nangangailangan ng ating tulong matapos manalasa sa kanila ang bagyong Ulysses. Hayaan ninyong maging daan kami para madala ito sa kanila sa pamamagitan ng truck na ito.
“Magkaisa tayo na ipadama na nag-uumapaw at punong puno [ang] pagmamahal natin sa kanila sa pamamagitan ng pag-donate at pagpuno ng truck na ito ng kinakailangang nilang pagkain o supplies.
“Mas maagang maipaabot ang tulong ay mas maaga ring makakalarga ang truck na ito papunta sa kanila.
“Believe in the power of compassion and donate now via #UltimateStarTRUCK," he added.
The couple targets to send the relief goods to Cagayanons on November 27.
Food items, clothing, alcohol, face masks and shields, and hygiene kits are welcome, along with monetary donations.
