Korean actor Jung Hae-in and BLACKPINK member Jisoo are on a break from filming their upcoming drama Snowdrop after a supporting actor from the show had a close contact with a COVID-19 positive patient, Koreaboo and Edaily reported.

Following the extra actor's close contact with the rest of the show's cast, Snowdrop's filming has been suspended since November 23. The drama's network, JTBC has released a statement regarding the show.

"We have confirmed that there are no confirmed cases of Coronavirus within the Snowdrop team, but there is an extra actor who was in close contact with a confirmed case.

"We have temporarily suspended filming to prevent the spread of the coronavirus and for the safety of all our team. We are waiting for the results of the test."

Other Korean dramas have also been affected by extra actors or support staff with confirmed coronavirus cases, including MBN's Bossam: Stealing Destiny, SBS's Joseon Exorcist, and JTBC's Sisyphus.

Snowdrop tells the story of a male university student who ends up in a women's dormitory, sparking romance between the students. The main cast includes Jung Hae-in, BLACKPINK's Jisoo, Jang Seung-jo, Yoon Se-ah, Kim Hye-yoon, and Jung Eugene.
