U-KISS ex-member Eli writes an emotional letter revealing his separation from his wife Ji Yeon-soo.
Former U-KISS member Eli, also known as Ellison Kyoung-jae Kim has admitted he and wife of six years Ji Yeon-soo are separating.
The Korean singer shared the news on Instagram through a letter to his fans that included a black image.
Eli mentioned that he is currently in the US, while his wife and son Michael are in Korea.
Eli wrote, "Hey everyone. 2020 has been a rough year for all of us. I have some news I would like to share with all of you... My wife and I have decided to separate.
"I am currently in the US and Michael is living with his mom in Korea. Though I am unable to see Michael at the moment I will go to see him whenever I can and try my hardest to be the father figure that he needs.
"I don't know what the future has in store but I pray that Michael and his mom will be happy. We are truly grateful for all of your support over the years and I apologize that things ended this way.
Another former U-KISS member and My Korean Jagiya actor Alexander Lee replied to Eli's letter and gave a brief message of support.
"Always here for you," he wrote.
Eli, now 29, and his 40-year-old wife Ji Yeon-soo tied the knot in 2014. In 2016, they welcomed the birth of their son Michael.
The couple showcased their married life in the program Mr. Korean Husband. Eli left U-KISS in 2019 after not renewing his contract.
