“Iba pala talaga 'yung tama kapag gabi na… Maalala mo na naman lahat,” penned Ice Seguerra on the evening of November 29, as he recalled his late father, Decoroso “Dick” Seguerra.

According to the singer-songwriter, his father instilled in him his passion and love for music thanks to their countless memories of singing along to their favorite tunes through a videoke machine.

Despite being sick, Dick continues his penchant for the activity by asking his son and grandchildren to sing along his favorite tunes.

“We would sing for him, he continued.

“Ako, mga apo niya, mga bisita. Kahit may sakit siyang nararamdaman, you could see his eyes light up. Pati mga mata niya, nakikikanta.

“Ngayon, tahimik. Nakakabingi. Namimiss ko 'yung boses mo, Pogi.”

Dick Seguerra passed away on November 15.

Ice announced his father's passing via Instagram, where he said the latter could finally sing along with his idols like Matt Monroe and Frank Sinatra.

“An awesome father, husband, brother, lolo, friend, leader; he has touched many lives by his kindness, gentle support, and most of all, his sense of humor.

“Makakapahinga ka na OG Pogi. No more pain.”
